The Rahway Center Partnership has initiated a Volunteer Incentive Program for 2008 to encourage volunteer participation and to thank our many volunteers for all their dedication and service.

The program calls for each volunteer to work at several events which will entitle them to a voucher to be used at one of our local restaurants downtown. The details of the program and the qualifying events are listed below. Please note that the number of volunteers needed differs from event to event and we will make assignments based on a first come, first served basis. RCP Board of Trustee members and staff are not eligible to participate in this program.

QUALIFYING EVENTS

·    1^st Thursday Event, Thursday, April 3^rd (volunteers will be selling Hot Rods & Harleys Raffle tickets for one or more 2 hr shifts)

·    1^st Thursday Event, Thursday, May 1^st (volunteers will be selling Hot Rods & Harleys Raffle tickets for one or more 2 hr shifts)

·    Cherry Street Block Party, Saturday, May 3^rd (volunteers will be selling Hot Rods & Harleys Raffle tickets for one or more 2 hr shifts)

·    Raffle Ticket Sales at Witty’s Liquor Store, Friday, May 9^th, Saturday, May 10^th, Sunday, May 11^th (work one or more 2 hr shifts over the course of the weekend selling Hot Rods & Harleys Raffle tickets)

·    Hot Rods & Harleys Day, Saturday, May 17^th (work one or more shifts during the day or if you work all day at this event it qualifies for 2 events)

·    1^st Thursday Event, Thursday, October 2^nd (volunteers will be selling The Taste tickets for one or more 2 hr shifts)

·    YMCA Carnival, Saturday, October 4^th (volunteers will be selling The Taste tickets for one or more 2 hr shifts)

·    1^st Thursday Event, Thursday, November 6^th (volunteers will be selling The Taste tickets for one or more 2 hr shifts)

·    The Taste, Friday, November 14^th (work at setup and at the event qualifies you for 2 events)

·    Office assistance (help with mailings, newsletter preparation & distribution, event preparation tasks – four hours equals one event)

PROGRAM DETAILS

Volunteer for five (5) qualifying events and earn one $30.00 voucher to be used at one of the following downtown establishments:

If you are interested in participating in our volunteer incentive program please click on this link:  Incentive Program Signup Sheet; complete the application and return it to the RCP office no later than March 21, 2008. We will confirm event assignments in writing by April 11, 2008. If the event(s) you request is full you will be placed on the waiting list for that event and contacted as soon as a vacancy occurs. Approximately a week before your scheduled event you will be contacted to confirm your participation and let you know your specific task assignment for the event.
